PROGRAZE  18 June course commences This first session will be by Zoom as an introduction to the course. At this session you will receive a background on topics to be covered and we will determine the best meeting times for the next couple of months.

This course will be facilitated by Phil Graham with the first contact session to be in July. All the remaining sessions will be on-farms so there can be practical demonstrations and discussions.

PASTURE PRINCIPLES
Friday 25 JUNE & Saturday 26 JUNE

The next sessions with Basil Doonan will be held on Friday 25 June and Saturday 26 June.

You only need to attend one day but you will need to allocate the full day as there is a lot of material to cover.
The topics are fertilizers and developing a feed (grass) budget. These training sessions are now critical to your ability to conduct an on-going rotational grazing system based on measurement of pasture and observation of your cattle.
I have recently purchased two rising plate pasture meters, one for use in the south and the other for the north, so everyone can have access to objective pasture measurements.

The program for each day is:
Friday 25 June 9am start at Bec and Adam Grills, 143 Little Forest Road, Milton. Then we move to another farm for the afternoon session (tbc) and will finish about 3pm.

You will need to bring lunch, a chair and a drinking cup suitable for hot drinks (tea or coffee).

Saturday 26 June: 9am start at Lee and Suzanne Pippard’s property at Willow Vale. Take the turn-off to Crooked River Wines, from the Pacific Hwy near Gerringong, then follow along Willow Vale Road until you see our SCB sign.
The afternoon session will be at David and Kim King’s property Coolangatta Rd, Berry and will finish about 3:30pm.

You will need to bring lunch, a chair and a drinking cup suitable for hot drinks (tea or coffee).
